All courses are approved by the New York Dept. of State and The Association of Real Estate License Law Officials, known as ARELLO. ARELLO standards require a high-quality delivery system that makes online learning simple. The system we offer is among the very best available today. All courses offer audio throughout giving the student the opportunity to read, listen, or both. What are the Newly Adopted Continuing Education Requirements effective September 21, 2022? All licensees with a license expiring on or after September 21, 2022 must successfully complete 22.5 hours of approved continuing education. The education must include at least 2 hours of instruction pertaining to cultural competency, 2 hours of instruction pertaining to implicit bias, at least 2.5 hours on the subject of ethical business practices, at least 1 hour of recent legal matters, at least 3 hours of instruction pertaining to fair housing and/or discrimination in the sale or rental of real property or an interest in real property and at least 1 hour of instruction pertaining to the law of agency except in the case of the initial two-year licensing term for real estate salespersons, 2 hours of agency related instruction must be completed within the two- year period immediately preceding a renewal. The amendment also REMOVES the 15-year real estate broker continuing education exemption and now requires all brokers with a license expiring on or after July 1, 2021 who are currently exempted to complete continuing education starting July 1, 2021. - There are 27 subjects and it will take 75 hours to complete the course.
- Each subject is broken down into sections. At the end of each section, there are multiple-choice questions. If you get the answer wrong you will re-answer a new question. You do not have to re-read the material or go back to the beginning of the section.
- Our courses can be accessed from any computer 24/7.
- This is a self-contained course which does not require a textbook. However, Realty Institute has an "ebook" which can be purchased and printed on your printer. It covers all of the chapters and sections and is an excellent study guide.
- Upon completion of all subjects, you will print your final exam entrance certificate. This must be presented when you take your final exam
- You are required to take a live-proctored final exam at an approved proctoring site. The proctoring fee is the responsibility of the student at the time they take the exam.
- It is a 75-question multiple-choice exam and a grade of 70 is passing. You will have 3 hours to complete the exam.
- Approved exam locations can be accessed through our home page under "links and information".
- You must make an appointment directly with the location of your choice.
- Upon passing the exam your certificate will be mailed to you. This usually takes approximately 2 weeks.
- You can schedule your state exam immediately.
- There are no refunds or credits.
